In addition to her own work, she has performed with The Rolling Stones, Michael Jackson and Stevie Nicks, just to name a few.
Crow started her music career at the University of Missouri, earning her Bachelor's degree in music composition, performance, and education. While there, she was in Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She started off as a music teacher, following in her mother's footsteps, and using her nights off to sing with different bands.
She was one of Michael Jackson's backup singers during his Bad World Tour before she started releasing her own studio albums.
Crow has won nine Grammy's for her eight studio albums, two compilations, and live album.
Diagnosed with a type of breast cancer in 2006, Crow had a lumpectomy and underwent radiation therapy. She, along with the help of her surgeon, opened the Sheryl Crow Imaging Center in August 2010.
She also found out that she has meningioma, a common type of brain tumor that is usually benign, in November 2011.
As if she isn't already courageous enough, she decided to adopt her two sons and raise them on her own. Their names are Wyatt Steven Crow and Levi James Crow.
Crow has had a number of relationships with other celebrities. Notably, she dated Owen Wilson and Lance Armstrong. Her and Armstrong were engaged for about 5 months before announcing their split.
