Pi Beta Phi is a women's fraternity that was founded on April 28, 1867 on the campus of Monmouth College in Monmouth, Illinois. The social fraternity boasts the honor of being the first national secret college society of women to be modeled after a men's fraternity. Since the group's founding, Pi Beta Phi has grown to include more than 200 chapters and more than 300 alumnae organizations through the United States and Canada. The official colors of Pi Beta Phi are wine and silver blue.
