The Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority was founded at Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia on November 15, 1901. Members of this Greek group are dedicated to finding balance in the pursuit of spiritual, social, physical and intellectual development. This sorority currently has 120,000 active collegiate members across more than 175 chapters throughout the U.S. Philanthropically, Alpha Sigma Alpha supports the Special Olympics as well as the S. June Smith Center for children with disabilities.
